Karen B. Shollenberger, 62, passed away peacefully in her home on December 12, 2017. Karen was born on July 30, 1955 in Reading Hospital to Harvey and Jean George. She grew up in Virginville, PA and attended Fleetwood Area High School. She then attended Reading Hospital's School of X-ray Technology. She married Bill R. Shollenberger, her high school sweetheart, on May 29, 1976. She worked as a radiologic technologist, most recently at Lehigh Valley Diagnostic Imaging. She was a loving mother and devoted member of the community and her church. She enjoyed golfing, bird watching, traveling, crafting, and time with family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Jean George.

She is survived by her husband, Bill; her son Kyle and his girlfriend Michelle Hardman; her daughter Cori and her fiancé Akaash Kumar; her sister Donna and brother-in-law Paul Unger; her sister Renee and brother-in-law John Sexton; her brother Craig and sister-in-law Cindy George; and her dog, Meeshka.

The family wishes to express their sincerest thanks to Dr. Suresh Nair, Dr. Alyson McIntosh, the Lehigh Valley Hospice group, and all those who supported Karen through the last several months.

A visitation will be held Sunday evening 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in St. Paul's United Church of Christ, 5 West Arch Street, Fleetwood and Monday at 9:30 am to 11:00 am in St. Paul's followed by a memorial service at 11:00 am.
