Larry Lee
Landis
June 15, 1956 – December 10, 2024
Larry Lee Landis, 68, of Fleetwood, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at his residence. Born in West Reading, he was the son of the late Arthur M. Landis and Julia M. (Schaeffer) Landis. Larry was a proud graduate of Fleetwood High School, Class of 1974. After graduation, he joined the U.S. Navy, serving honorably as a sonar technician aboard the USS Mount Whitney from 1975 to 1980.
Larry dedicated 40 years of his career to Acme Markets, retiring in 2021. A lifelong cat lover, he cared deeply for many feline companions over the years. He had a passion for steam trains, frequently enjoying rides on the Wanamaker, Kempton & Southern Railroad in Kempton, where he developed lasting friendships with the employees. Summers often found him visiting Knoebels Amusement Park, a favorite destination. Larry was a devoted supporter of the Fleetwood Fire Company, rarely missing their biannual fundraiser.
Larry is survived by his siblings, Dewey M. Landis husband of Kim Landis and Deidre A. (Landis) wife of Barry Brown; his niece, Nicole A(Reed) wife of Andy Klinksiek; his nephew, William A. Reed; and his great-nephew, Levi Klinksiek. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Bernita L. (Landis) Reed.
