Larue V. Landis, 89, of Fleetwood, passed away in St Joseph's Medical Center on November 1, 2012. Her Husband Francis D. Landis died October 17, 2006.
Born May 28, 1923 in Alsace Township she was the daughter of the late Harry Bingaman and Edna (Houptley) Bingaman.
Larue waitressed at the former Paul Maurer's Diner in Oley plus spent many years working at Ludwigs Luncheonette at Moselem Spring. She also made her contribution to the WWII war effort by working at the Army Depot in Fleetwood. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Fleetwood.
Larue is survived by her children Sharon L. (Landis) Heffner , Fleetwood with whom she resided; a son Roger F. Landis husband of Viola (Grant) Landis of Walnuttown and daughter Rosalie F. Landis of Muhlenberg Township. Also four grandchildren Christopher, Stephany, Anthony and Corey. Five great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. Other survivors include a sister Vivian (Bingaman) Stump widow of Ernest Stump of Kutztown and her brother Harry O. Bingaman of Niceville, Florida. She also survived by her cat Lucky.
A viewing will be Monday at 10:00AM to 11:00 AM at Mae Stump Funeral Home Inc, 117 West Main Street, Fleetwood. Graveside services will follow at Fleetwood Cemetery.
