Leo H. Rheaume, age 74 of Fleetwood, PA, died Wednesday, September 20, 2017, in Reading Hospital Medical Center, West Reading, PA.
Born in New Bedford on July 3, 1943, he was the son of Raymond F. Rheaume and Antoinette H. Deschamps.
After high school, Leo joined the Navy and served during the Vietnam War. After leaving the Navy, he became a journey lineman with IBEW Local 42 in Hartford, Ct.
Leo was a New England sports fan and an avid golfer. He loved being with his family and friends. Leo was a member of The American Legion, The Veterans of Foreign Wars, and an active member of The Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his three children Shawn Rheaume husband of Bridget Rheaume of Punxsutawney, PA; Shelley (Rheaume) wife of Timothy Adamson of Punxsutawney, PA, and Matthew Rheaume husband of Autumn Rheaume of Fleetwood, PA. Leo has seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. He is also survived by his sister Jeanne (Rheaume) wife of Roland Gobeil of Santa Fe, Texas.
A viewing will be on Saturday, September 30th from 9:00AM to 10:00AM, followed by a Prayer Service at 10:00AM in Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd. New Bedford, MA. Burial will be in Scared Heart Cemetery, 559 Mt. Pleasant Street, New Bedford. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in memory of Leo to the Alzheimers Association P.O. Box 96011 Washington DC 20090-6011.
