Obituary

Leon E. "Louie" Miller, age 72 years, of Fleetwood, passed away on Sunday May 26, 2013 in his residence surrounded by his family.
He was the husband of Marilyn J. (Shadler) Miller, they celebrated 46 years of marriage.
Born on August 10, 1940 in Reading, Leon was the son of the late Harvey Miller and Carrie Eckenroth Miller.
Louie was a 1958 graduate of Governor Mifflin High School. He was a U. S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
Memberships included St. Paul's United Church of Christ Fleetwood, Horace Kieffer Post 625 of the American Legion, Fleetwood and a member of the Breakfast Brothers.
Prior to his retirement he had worked for Exeter Supply Co. Reading for 32 years. Other employment included the former Esterly Contracting.
Louie is survived by his wife Marilyn and children Ricky M. Sassaman and his wife Patricia of San Antonio, Texas; Neil A Sassaman and his wife Debbie of Blandon; David M. Sassaman and his wife Sherry of Manning, SC; Sean M. Miller at home; Susan H. (Sassaman) wife of Bruce A..Fritzinger of Fleetwood. Their are14 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Also a sister Mary (Miller) wife of George Himmelberger of Reading and brother Clyde E. Miller and his wife Mary of Hampton, VA.
Preceded in death by his son Richard B. Sassaman, daughter Renee L. Sassaman, sister Ruth (Miller) Baer and brother's Ralph Miller and Lloyd Miller.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 11:00 AM from St. Paul's United Church of Christ, 5 West Arch Street, Fleetwood. A viewing will be Thursday from 9:00AM to 11:00AM.at the church. Entombment will be in Berks County Memorial Gardens.
