Leonard R. "Sonny" Bailey, 85 , of Fleetwood passed away of natural causes on Tuesday April 27, 2021. He was the husband of Joan A. (Borrell) Bailey they celebrated 65 years of marriage on July 31 st . Born in Blandon the son of the late Emmanuel Bailey and Pauline V. (Meals) Bailey.
Sonny and Joan's business of 50 years was Bailey's Antique and Collectables. They ran stands at flea markets starting with Leesport Farmer's Market. Followed by all three Renninger's Kutztown, Adamstown, Schuylkill Haven; Shupp's Grove, Adamstown; Penn's Cave, Centre Hall; and Morgantown Market. Other states were Massachusetts at Brimfield Antique Flea Market for 40 years, Virginia at Manassas Farmer's Market, Fishersville Antiques Market, and Richmond; New York at Madison, Bouckville, and Stormville; Ohio at Springfield.
Leonard is survived by wife Joan and daughter Denise K. (Bailey) Pedé. Grandchildren Denine Seifert and Stephen Neafcy. Great grandchildren Colton Neafcy and Caliana Neafcy. Other survivors include his sisters Dian Behm, Jean Yoder, Rosaline Ohlinger, Eleanor Breidenstein and Kathy Hilbert.
His predeceased by his siblings Jimmy Bailey, Donald Bailey, Ricky Bailey, Ardell Sayer, Shirley Geisinger.
Services will be held Monday May 3, 2021at11:00 AM at the Mae A. Stump Funeral Home, 117 West Main Street, Fleetwood. Friends and family are invited to view from 10:00AM to 11:00 AM until the start of the service. Burial will follow at Berks County Memorial Gardens, Fleetwood. Masks and social distancing required. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made in Sonny's memory to the St. Joseph's Medical Center Foundation, P. O. Box 316, Reading, PA 19603-0316.
