Lillian G. (Rissmiller) Reinhard, age 71, of Fleetwood, passed away Wednesday October 9, 2013 in St. Joseph Medical Center. Wife of Charles C. Reinhard, the couple celebrated 50 years of marriage on September 28th.
Born February 14, 1942 in Fleetwood, she was the daughter of the late James D. Rissmiller and Pauline R. (Heller) Rissmiller.
Prior to her illness, Lillian had been employed by Walmart in Temple for over ten years. She was a graduate of Fleetwood High School class of 1959. She enjoyed spending time with her family, word puzzles, working on genealogy, and good conversation.
Lillian was a loving wife and a devoted mother. She spent most of her life raising children, and helped to raise many more than her own. She always made time to listen and gave perfect, practical advice. She was intelligent, funny, and kind, always putting others before herself. Family was her focus and she deeply loved each and every one of us. We are fortunate to have joined in her contagious laughter and to have shared in her remarkable spirit. She will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her husband Charles and her four children, daughter Barbara A. (Reinhard) wife of Troy C. Meitzler of Fleetwood, son Michael A. Reinhard husband of Michele (Adam) Reinhard of Fleetwood, daughter Rachel M. (Reinhard) wife of James Palange of Exeter, and son Timothy M. Reinhard husband of Margaret (Boyer) Reinhard of Hamburg. She is also survived by eight grandchildren: Matthew Meitzler husband of Shelly (Richards) Meitzler, Erin Meitzler, Amanda Reinhard, Ben Reinhard, Zach Reinhard, Jacob Palange, Lucas Palange, and Annika Reinhard, and three great-grandchildren: Ashlin, Mikenna, and Mason.
Other survivors include sisters Carolyn Rissmiller of Fleetwood and Janet (Rissmiller) Wetzel of Seisholtzville.
Lillian was preceded in death by brother James Rissmiller, sisters June (Rissmiller) Delong, and Arlene (Rissmiller) Giannotti.
