Loretta M. Weidner, 85, formerly of Waltnuttown passed away in the warm embrace of her loving family on Saturday afternoon September 20, 2014. She was the wife of the late Leroy K. Weidner who preceded her on May 30, 2006. Born in Richmond Township on July 10, 1929. Loretta was the daughter of the late James I. Hinkle and Elvina M. (Hinkel) Hinkle.
She was a member of the former Ladies Auxiliary of the Walnuttown Fire Company, St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Fleetwood. Loretta also attended the Walnuttown Sunday School and had perfect attendance for 49 years and served as treasurer for sixteen years.
Loretta is survived by her son Lyle A. Weidner husband of Janet L. Weidner of Fleetwood. Also two grandchildren Leif A. Weidner and Leticia A. Weidner. Three step grandchildren Krista Ruttman, Kathryn Gimont, Laura Callowhill. Also two great grandchildren Ethan M. Weidner and Adriana Labruno, three step great grandchildren Jonathan Crockett, Joseph Crockett and Eva Guthier.
Other survivors include two sisters Joyce A. (Hinkle) wife of Linford Schittler of Fleetwood and Mary (Hinkle) Wesner widow of Robert Wesner of Walnuttown. Also a sister in law Alta (Zimmerman) Hinkle of Walnuttown and many nieces and nephews.
Loretta was preceded in death by her brothers Russell Hinkle, Albert Hinkle and sisters Rachel (Hinkle) Emerick, Mabel (Hinkle) Snyder, and Fern (Hinkle) Adam.
Funeral services will be Friday at 11:00 a.m. from St. Paul's Lutheran Church., 117 East Arch Street, Fleetwood. A viewing will be Thursday evening at the church from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. and Friday10:00 a.m. to time of service at the church. Burial will be at St. Paul's Union Cemetery, Fleetwood.
