Lorraine B. Hunter, 90, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2024, at Willow Brook Nursing Home in Kutztown, where she had resided for the past few years.

Born on March 31, 1934, Lorraine was the beloved daughter of the late Elva S. Hunter. She spent her early childhood on Hunter Lodge Farm in Hereford Township before the family relocated to their permanent residence on a farm along Fredericksville Road in Mertztown. The family operated a working farm, caring for various animals and countless cats over the years.

Lorraine graduated from Kutztown High School and later attended McCann School of Business. She dedicated 47 years of her career as a secretary at Kutztown College, earning the respect and admiration of her colleagues.

An active and devoted member of Huff's Church, Lorraine served as secretary and treasurer of the church's Senior Citizens group. She also contributed to the Ladies' Aids organization and assisted at church picnics. In addition, she volunteered her time at The Lutheran Home at Topton, reflecting her commitment to her community.

Lorraine shared a deep bond with her mother, with whom she lived and enjoyed many cherished moments at home. They delighted in cooking, baking, shopping, and dining out with friends and family.

Travel was another of Lorraine's joys. She participated in numerous bus trips to shows and events, with a particular fondness for attending the Miss America Pageant parades on the boardwalk in Atlantic City.

Lorraine will be remembered for her warmth, dedication, and the countless memories she created with those who knew and loved her.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, January 6, 2025, at 11:30 AM at New Jerusalem Cemetery, 27 Lyons Road, Fleetwood, PA
