Madge E. Goodwin, age 82, of Blandon, passed away Tuesday November 6, 2018 in St. Francis Home, Shillington.

She was the wife of Richard F. Goodwin, they celebrated 60 years of marriage on August 9 ^th .

Madge was born in Berks County, the daughter of the late William P. Kline and Laura Mae (Eschbach) Kline.

She was a member of Maidencreek Church, Blandon, where she was active in the prayer shawl ministry.

Madge was a 1954 graduate of Kutztown High School and a 1957 graduate of the Reading Hospital School of Nursing.

Prior to her retirement she worked as nurse for many area physicians.

One of her favorite hobbies was making crafts projects and ceramics.

Madge is survived by her husband Richard and children Keith William Goodwin, Kerry Richard Goodwin husband of Kathy (Keim) Goodwin and Kelly Jo (Goodwin) wife of Mark Meitzler all of Hamburg. Also grandchildren Stacey (Goodwin) wife of Brian Peifer, Kyle Raudenbush, Elizabeth Goodwin, Amy Goodwin, Derek Goodwin, Laura Lewis and Jack Lewis. Great grandchildren Cole Peifer, Cort Peifer and Cali Peifer.

The Goodwin family would like to thank all the volunteers at St. Francis Home for the special care they gave Madge.

A viewing will be held Saturday morning from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM followed by funeral service at 10:00AM at the Mae A. Stump Funeral Home, Inc., 117 West Main Street, Fleetwood. Burial will be in Maidencreek Cemetery.
