Marian M. Brown, age 84 formerly of Fleetwood passed on January 30, 2013 at The Lutheran Home at Topton where she resided. The wife of the late Allen B. Brown who passed on January 30, 1990.
Born in Wyomissing the daughter of the late Jesse Gromling and Helen (Strunk) Gromling.
Prior to her retirement she had been employed by Hamburg Center, Hamburg for 27 years and the Lutheran Home at Topton for 15 years.
In her retirement Marian's favorite time was spoiling her grandchildren. She loved going on trips and cruises, playing slot machines. Other interest were crocheting and reading.
Surviving are two daughters Cynthia J. (Leslie) wife of Kenneth R. Smith of Kutztown and Yvonne L. (Leslie) wife of John Petro of Fleetwood. Also five grandchildren Austin Smith, Erin Smith, Kendra Smith, Caitlin Petro and Kiley Petro. Other survivors include four brothers Warren Gromling Robesonia, John Gromling Reading, Donald Gromling, Macungie, Paul Gromling, Kutztown, and two sisters Shirley (Gromling) Lewallen, High Point, NC and Mary (Gromling) Lewallen, Trinity, NC.
She was preceded in death by silblings Jesse Gromling Jr., Betty (Gromling) Stamm and Jean (Gromling) Miserendino.
A viewing will be Monday morning from 10:00AM to 11:00AM at the Mae A. Stump Funeral Home, Inc., 117 West Main Street, Fleetwood. Funeral services will follow at 11:00AM Burial will be at Berks County Memorial Gardens. Flowers are accepted or memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimers Association, P. O.
