Marie L. Murphy, age 80, formerly of Windsor Castle and lately of Fleetwood passed Thursday January 25, 2018 in the hospital with her loving family at her side. She was the widow of Theodore J. Murphy. Born in Reading, PA on January 30, 1937. She was the daughter of the late Edward D. Wertz and Mildred (Garman) Wertz Millard.

She always said her greatest achievement was her children. She is survived by: her son Raymond E. Murphy husband of Shannon Murphy of Reading, PA, daughter Eileen L. Covell wife of Ronald Covell of Hamburg, PA, son Patrick M. Murphy, husband of Susan Murphy of Fleetwood, PA, son Theodore J. Murphy Jr., husband of Karen Murphy of Mount Airy, MD. Also by six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

She loved playing Bingo, going camping, traveling with family, her word search and coloring books. The family would like to thank the staff of Kutztown Manor while staying for therapy and Penn State St. Joseph Center for their compassionate care. Funeral service and interment will be private
