Marilyn L. Mayan, born on April 1, 1947, in Reading, PA, passed away peacefully at Reading Hospital on September 30, 2024. She was the beloved daughter of the late Edward and Miriam (Becker) Blake. Marilyn was preceded in death by her loving husband, William Mayan.

A proud graduate of Reading High School, Class of 1965, Marilyn worked for many years at the VF Outlets and later for the Reading School District until her retirement. She was an active member of the Reading High Squires Club and a devoted cheerleader for her children's and grandchildren's sporting events. Marilyn enjoyed putting together her 1000 piece puzzles. She loved sitting in her favorite chair along the water at the beach talking to friends.

Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Shannon Mayan, 41, of Reading; her son, Kyle Mayan, 44, and his wife Cara Mayan, 46, of Reading; and her cherished grandchildren, Kaiden, Presley, and Tatum Mayan, all of Coatesville.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 2:00 to 6:00 PM Saturday October 19, 2024 at the Northmont Fellowship Association, 600 Bruckman Ave, Reading, PA 19605. Inurnment will be private at Gethsemane Cemetery.
