Marvin C. Kline, Sr., 73, of Fleetwood, passed away on December 30, 2017 in Millsboro, Delaware. He was the husband of the late Barbara Ann (Keller) Kline who passed October 7, 2000.
Born on September 30, 1944, in Reading. He was the son of the late Monroe J. Kline and Ida Mae (Rothermel) Kline.
Marvin was a graduate of Reading High School class of 1962 and was a veteran of the U S Navy serving on the USS Guadalcanal from 1963 to 1965.
Marvin had worked for Reading Textile Corp in the 70's and Parish Dana Corporation, Reading for over 20 years as tool and die maker, retiring in 2000 when the company moved. He belonged to the following organizations the Elks, American Legion, Moose Lodge, Democratic Club, Lyons Fire Co. and Central Fire Co.
Marvin loved spending time in Millsboro, Delaware; with friends, singing karaoke and enjoying a hard earned retirement with his best friend Ruth Ann Fulkersin.
Survived by his son Marvin C. Kline, Jr. husband of Stacy L. (Johnson) Kline of Fleetwood. Grandchildren Jordan Kline, Adriana Kline, and Jacob Kline. Also a brother
Leroy F. Kline of Millsboro, Delaware; two sisters Agnes S. (Kline) wife of Larry Culpepper of Reading and Margaret Ann (Kline) wife of Clyde Fegely of Reading. Also eighte nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be Saturday January 6th from 1:00PM to 2:00PM from the Mae A. Stump Funeral Home, Inc., 117 West Main Street, Fleetwood. On Saturday January 13 th there will be graveside services at 1:00PM in Friedens Cemetery, Stony Run. Military honors will be conducted by the U S Navy and Ray Masters American Legion Post 217.
