Marvin A. Noll, age 79, of Fleetwood, passed away on May 20, 2016 in Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center, Reading. He was the husband of Betty Jane (Acker) Noll with whom he celebrated 48 years of marriage on April 29th.
Born on August 6, 1936 in Ruscombmanor Township, the son of the late Urias D. Noll and Sarah A. (Foose) Noll.
Marvin served in the US Army Reserve and the U S Airforce reserves from 1956 to 1962.
He an employee of Village Motors Inc., Walnuttown from 1972 till becoming co-owner from 1980 to 1996. He remained with the company till 2014 as their delivery man. Other employment included working at Houck Machine Shop, Fleetwood and the former Jackson Rope Co., Reading.
Marvin enjoyed traveling and camping and had been a member of the Pagoda Sams Club. He loved watching Indy Car Racing and was a fan of NASCAR. In recent years he loved caring for his lawn which had to be perfect. His other interest were fishing and playing his organ.
Marvin is survived by his wife Betty Jane and children Gene A. Noll of Fleetwood, Michell A. Noll of Bernville and his three Yorkshire Terriers Christmas, Snuggles and Tara.
Other survivors include a sisters Arlene E. (Noll) Forney of Fleetwood, Geraldine E. (Noll) Folk of Fleetwood, Linda M. (Noll) Folk of Fleetwood, Dolore J. (Noll) Hartman of Fleetwood and Gwendolyn F. (Noll) Yarish of Bernville. Also brothers Donald L. Noll of Denver, PA and Barry L. Noll of Fleetwood.
He was preceded in death by his brothers Gene D. Noll, Urias R. Noll, Dennis D. Noll and Charles B. Noll.
Services will be Friday May 27th at 11:00 AM from the Mae A. Stump Funeral Home, Inc., 117 West Main Street, Fleetwood. Viewings will be Thursday evening May 26th from 7:00PM to 9:00 PM and Friday 10:00AM to 11:00 AM. Burial in Berks County Memorial Gardens.
