Mary Jane Anderson, 102, of Fleetwood, peacefully passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at the Henry Health Center, Topton. She was the beloved wife, 74 years, of the late James L. Anderson, who passed in 2012.  Mary Jane was born in Fleetwood, the daughter of the late Earl A. Peters and Lizzie M. (Moyer) Peters.

At the time of her passing she was the oldest resident of Fleetwood.

Mary Jane was a 1938 graduate of Fleetwood High School. She had been employed by Fleetwood Shirt Corporation as a floor lady for many years.

Mary Jane is survived by her son Russell J. Anderson husband of Marsha A. (Kriebel) Anderson and daughter Ruth M. (Anderson) widow of Terry Manmiller. She will be deeply missed by her 9 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

Mary Jane was preceded in death by her sons, Roger L. Anderson and David A. Anderson, brothers Alvin H. Peters and Earl A. Peters, Jr.

The services honoring Mary Janes life will be held Thursday morning June 29th at 11:00 AM. A viewing will be from 10:00 AM to Time of service from the Mae A. Stump Funeral Home, Inc., 117 West Main Street, Fleetwood, with her burial taking place in Fleetwood Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers a contribution can be made to Fleetwood Public Library, 110 W. Arch Street #112, Fleetwood, PA 19522 on behalf of Mary Jane Anderson.
