Mary K. Christman, 89 of Leesport passed away on Tuesday February 15, 2022. She was the widow of the late Mike L. Christman), who passed in 2012 and Samuel E. Shade who passed in 1977. Born in Perry Township she was the daughter of the late Albert Long and Carrie (Engle) Long.
Mary had been employed for fifteen years by the former Quaker Maid Kitchen, Leesport retiring in 1992. In her retirement she worked at McDonalds in Leesport.
She was a member of Maidencreek Church in Blandon
The joy of her life was being with her family especially her grandchildren and her great grand babies. Mary enjoyed country music and dancing. She would spend hours doing hundreds of puzzles. Mary loved to go to yard sales and spring was the time to plant flowers in her garden.
Mary is survived by her children David L, Shade husband of Silvia Shade, Daniel R. Shade, Glenn A. Shade, Samuel T. Shade, Nancy L. (Shade) Addison, Diane L. (Shade) Ulrich, Carol A. (Shade) wife of Gerald Paris. Also Step children Marion Christman, June (Christman) Heller, Barbara (Christman) Schappell, and Brenda (Christman) Matney. There are nine grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Other survivors are siblings Ronald, Raymond, Betty, Christine, and Bonnie.
She was preceded in death by son Michael L. Shade, grandson Michael Shade and her siblings Albert, Dorothy and Leon..
Viewing will be Saturday February 19th from 9:00AM to 11:00 AM. at the Mae A. Stump Funeral Home, Inc., 117 West Main Street, Fleetwood. Funeral services will be private. Burial will be in Maidencreek Cemetery. Contributions can be made in memory of Mary to the Building Fund of Maidencreek Church, 261 Main Street, Blandon, PA19510.
