Matthew J. Smith of Reading, PA unexpectedly passed away on Thursday, December 7 in his residence. He worked in the offices of Penske's Car Shop in Chester Springs. He was a graduate of Downingtown High School and also attended Delaware County Community College. Matt was a member of Community UCC in St. Lawrence where he was vice president of Consistory, served as worship leader and sang in the Chancel Choir. Survivors include his father, Daniel Smith and mother, Brenda Traini, step father Patrick Traini and stepmother Susan Smith. Other survivors include a brother Adam Smith husband of Maura Smith,  two uncles, two aunts, a niece and nephew. Inurnment will be private and a memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, January 20 at 12:00 noon at Community UCC, 3330 St. Lawrence Ave, Reading, PA. Greetings of family begin at 11:30 AM.
