Melvin R. Angstadt, 94, of Fleetwood, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2025. Born April 7, 1930, in Oley Township, PA, he was the husband of the late Betty F. (Weidner) Angstadt who passed on July 24, 2023, they had celebrated 72 years of marriage. Mel was born in Oley the son of the late Paul and Anna (Seyler) Angstadt.
Mel proudly served his country as a Marine during the Korean War. He dedicated his career to the Coca-Cola Company in Reading, retiring after 38 years, 2 months, and 22 days of employment. He was affectionately known as "The Coke Man." Mel was an avid fan of the Phillies and NASCAR, especially Bill Elliott. He enjoyed fishing and woodworking in his free time.
Mel will be sadly missed by family and friends.
He is survived by his daughter, Sandra (Angstadt) wife of Robert Levan and son Dale Angstadt; grandchildren Jill Levan, Alicia (Levan) wife of Brett Sisco, and Cody Angstadt husband of Ashley Eberhart; great-granddaughter Taylor Gaugler; and sister Janet (Angstadt) wife of Curt Clauser. Mel was predeceased by his wife, Betty F. (Weidner) Angstadt, and brothers Leon and Ralph Angstadt.
A heartfelt thank you to the Serenity Hospice Team for the care provided over the past year.
