Michele L. Schlegel, age 62, of Rockland Township, passed away on November 22, 2016, in her residence. She was the wife of Elton J. Schlegel they celebrated 19 years of marriage on June 28th.
She was born on December 28, 1953 in West Reading the daughter of Russell Weinman of Sinking Spring and the late Bernice (Blessing) Weinman.
Michele attended Muhlenberg High School. She had worked at Vanity Fair, Inc for many years in the corporate office. After her office moved she worked as a paralegal for different Reading area law groups.
Michele had many interest, she was a published poet and landscape painter. She loved shopping and was always looking for the deal. Spending time with her granddaughter Hailey was always very special. She loved collecting of Angels and spending summers in her pool. Will sadly be missed by her faithful companion, Olive.
Survived by her husband Elton, father Russell and sons Troy D. Quinn husband of Shannon Quinn of Mertztown and Travis L. Quinn husband of Erica Quinn of Hamburg. Also granddaughter Hailey Quinn.
Other survivors include brother Christopher Weinman of Fleetwood and sisters Maryann (Weinman) Grossi of Reading, Nancy (Weinman) Detweiler of Ephrata: Theresa (Weinman) Britt of Pottsville and Heather (Weinman) Rhen of Pottsville.
A viewing will be Saturday morning 10:00 am to 12:00 noon followed by a Celebration of Life at the Mae A. Stump Funeral Home, 117 West Main Street, Fleetwood. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the American Youth Literacy Foundation, 492 Reginald Lane, Collegeville, PA 19426
