Mike L. Christman, age 88, of Leesport. Passed away Saturday evening February 18, 2012 at the Schuylkill Medical Center, Pottsville.
He was the husband of Mary K.(Long) Christman.
Born on August 16, 1923 in Pike Township, he was the son of the late James and Eva Rohrbach Christman.
Mike spent twenty seven years working for Dana Corporations, Parish Division, Reading.
He was a U S Navy veteran of World War II.
Mike was a member of Maidencreek Church, Blandon and Pike Township Sportsman's Association
He was as avid Phillies fan and loved country western music.
Survived by his wife Mary and son Marion Christman, Myrtle Beach, SC. Three daughters June (Christman) Heller, Fleetwood, Barbara (Christman) Schappell, Hamburg and Brenda (Christman) Matney, Crocket, Texas.
Also surviving are step children David Shade, Hamburg, Daniel Shade, Fleetwood, Samuel Shade, Fleetwood, Glenn Shade, Blandon, Nancy (Shade) Addison, Leesport, Diane (Shade) Ulrich, Fleetwood and Carol (Shade) Paris,Fleetwood. Nineteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren One brother Floyd Christman of Lewisburg, PA
A viewing will be Thursday morning from 9:00 AM to11:00AM at the Mae A. Stump Funeral Home Inc. 117 West Main Street, Fleetwood. Funeral services and burial will be private.
