Nicholas M. Drey

Nicholas Matthew Drey, 32, of Mertztown, PA, passed away on April 7, 2026.

Born on May 14, 1993, in Reading, PA, he was the son of Matthew W. Drey and Cori L. (Gieringer) Drey. Nicholas was a 2011 graduate of Brandywine High School. He had been employed by Mertztown Market. Nick enjoyed cooking and dreamed of one day owning a food truck. His other interests are reading, listening to music, playing guitar, and going for nature walks.

He is survived by his son, Maxon Nicholas Drey; his father, Matthew W. Drey; his mother, Cori L. (Gieringer) Drey; his sister, Macy L. Drey; and his maternal grandmother, Sandra Lee Gieringer.

A celebration of life will be held in May.
