Patricia A. Callahan, 75, of Fleetwood, passed away on January 18, 2018. She was the wife of the late John M. Callahan, Ph.D., and the mother of Kerry K. (Callahan), wife of Jeff Boderman of Fleetwood.

She was born on December 13, 1942, in Granite City, IL. She and John were married on August 26, 1967, and moved to Fleetwood in 1980.

​She earned a Bachelor's degree in Education at Southern Illinois University and a Master's degree in Business Education at Kent State University. She taught high school mathematics and business in Ohio, West Virginia and Texas. She was employed for many years by Cambridge-Lee Industries, Reading, as Cash Manager.

She was a member of St. Mary's Church, Kutztown, where she served on the Finance Committee. She was also very active in the American Association of University Women, and volunteered countless hours in support of the annual book sale co-sponsored by the AAUW Reading Branch and the Friends of Berks County Public Libraries.

She loved traveling, and she and John enjoyed many adventures throughout the U.S. and internationally. In 2016, she met her goal of visiting all 50 states while on a trip with her sisters and brothers-in-law.

She is survived by five siblings: Sister Agnes Ann Pisel, Chicago Heights, IL; JoAnn Pisel, Millstadt, IL; Therese Putnick, Edwardsville, IL; Agnes, wife of Bo Semith, Glen Carbon, IL; and Mary Jean, wife of Rev. Ricke Schlossin, Spring Lake Park, MN; as well as a niece and three nephews.

A viewing will be held Saturday, January 27 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at St. Mary's Church, 14833 Kutztown Road, Kutztown. A Mass of the Resurrection will follow at 1:00 PM. Burial will take place at a later date in St. Louis, MO.
