Obituary

Patricia Ann (Covelesky) Sausser, age; 70, of Fleetwood, PA, passed away on Wednesday October 12, 2022,  surrounded by her loved ones. Born in Fukuoka, Japan, Pat was the eldest child of the late SMSGT Edward J. Covelesky and Ellen E. Sterling Covelesky. Her father was in the U.S. Air Force and the family lived in many foreign countries and many states in the U.S.A.

Patricia was the wife of the late Richard M. Sausser. He deceased in 2010. They married in Pottsville in 1976 and shortly after made home in Fleetwood, PA.

She attended Rome Free Academy, Rome, N.Y. until the end of her junior year in high school.  Pat then attended Pottsville Area High School, for her senior year, graduating in 1970. She was happy to say she had two high school graduating classes and attended reunions at both schools over the years. Pat maintained many friends from both schools. Pat attended McCann School of Business, Pottsville, PA.

Patricia worked at various businesses in the area. She was a receptionist at the Fleetwood Medical Center. Her last employment was at S.F.S. Intec, Wyomissing in the accounting department.

She was a member of St. Paul's U.C.C. in Fleetwood, Pat served as a Sunday School teacher, Deacon and Elder at St. Paul's. She was a Girl Scout leader in Fleetwood while her daughter was growing up.

Patricia is survived by her daughter, Amy E. Sausser Miller, wife of Jason Allen Miller of Lyons, PA and her son, Ethen. Pat adored her only grandchild. She is also survived by her sister, Peggy J. Higgins of Pottsville and her companion, Joseph Cremia. She is also survived by her step-daughter, Judith L. Sausser Major, Boynton Beach, Florida. She leaves two close cousins, Lynn Pacenta of Reston, VA. and Cheryl Gipe of Pine Grove. PA. Also many nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews from her late husband's side of the family. Patricia leaves many close friends and thanks all for their friendships over the years.

Pat is predeceased by her brother, Edward J. Covelesky, Jr. and an infant sister, Jane Ann Covelesky.

A memorial service will be private.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
