Richard H. Schittler, 75, formerly of Pricetown, passed away on September 14, 2013 at Kutztown Manor. He was the husband of the late of Claire M. (Sieber) Schittler, who passed on December 18, 2012.

Richard was born on July 19, 1938 in Reading. He was the son of the late Raymond Schittler and Esther F. (Wentzel) Schittler.

He had worked for East Penn Manufacturing for 10 years. Prior he was employed by the former Boyertown Casket Company for 33 years.

He was a member of Christ Mertz Lutheran Church, Dryville.

Richard's interest were going to the mountains and watching NASCAR races.

Surviving are his sons Michael husband of Barbara Schittler of Fleetwood and Brian husband of Jodi Schittler of Steam Valley, Pennsylvania. Also a stepdaughter Terri L. (Bechtel) wife of Jason R. Lindenmuth of Mertztown. Also grandchildren Matt, Emma, Micah, Elijah, Hunter, Wendy and Kenny. Two great grandchildren Kenny III and Desiree. Other survivors include a brother Kenneth D. husband of Maggie Schittler of Fleetwood. Also nephew David Schittler and niece Denise Williams.

Services will be Wednesday at 11:00AM from Mae A. Stump Funeral Home, Inc. 117 West Main Street, Fleetwood, with Rev. Cheryl F. Meinschein officiating. A viewing will be at the funeral home from 10:00 AM to service time. Burial will follow at Hope Cemetery, Dryville.
