Ricky C. Bugera, age 49, passed away unexpectedly on November 14, 2016 in his Oley Township residence.
Born on November 14, 1967 in Reading. He was the son of the late John Bugera and Doris M. (Becker) Bugera. He was a 1986 graduate of Fleetwood High School.
Rick worked for Rapid Suppression Fire Protect, Oley for many years. He was an active member of Oley Fire Company. Rick found weather fascinating and became a certified severe weather spotter for the National Weather Service. He created a group who had like interests in the weather called Berks County Severe Weather Watchers so that people could participate and be updated on severe weather events in the area. The group has 17000 members. He also created two other groups the Berks County Paranormal Association and You Know Your From Fleetwood If.
Survived by his sister Margaret E. (Bugera) Steinmetz of St. Louis, Missouri.
Rick was preceded in death by his brother John "Skip" Bugera.
He was a special friend of the Yoder Family and a friend to many.
A gathering in Rick's honor were friends and firehouse family members can share memories and celebrate his life. The gathering will take place at Oley Fire Company engine room located on Main Street in Oley on Friday November 18th from 7pm to 9pm.
