Robert R."Beetle" Bailey, age 82, of Lyon Station, passed on Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest. The husband of Dorothy M. (Focht) Bailey, they celebrated 58 years of marriage on May 16 ^th .

Robert was born June 10, 1940, in West Reading, the son of the late Harry Bailey and Sarah (Wentzel) Bailey.

Robert graduated from Fleetwood High School class of 1958. He entered the U. S. Army in 1960 to 1963 with a tour in Germany. After his service he was employed by Quaker Maid Kitchens, Leesport. In 1966 he joined East Penn Manufacturing, Lyon Station and spent the next 36 years with the company till his retirement in 2002.

Robert's hobbies included golfing, completing word and number puzzles with Dorothy.

One of his interests was making miniature models out of match sticks. He loved spending time

with family. His community service was being a volunteer fire policeman with Lyon's Fire Company.

He is survived by his wife Dorothy and two daughters Barbara Ann wife of  Jesse Dunkelberger and Joanne Olivia wife of Robert Waidelich. Also his grandchildren: Codey William Bennecoff, Allison Carrie Waidelich, Megan Olivia Waidelich and Haley Lyn Dunkelberger.

Robert was predeceased by his daughter, Marjorie Ann Bailey and brothers; Harry R. Bailey and Charles Bailey.

A visitation will be Friday 19 ^th from 10:00AM to 11:00AM followed by a memorial service at 11:00AM at the Mae A. Stump Funeral Home, Inc., 117 West Main Street, Fleetwood.
