Robert P. Colucci, Sr., 76, of Pike Township, passed away peacefully at his residence on Thursday, January 9, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
He was the devoted husband of Rita R. Frangiosa, with whom he celebrated 23 years of marriage. Born in Norristown, PA, Robert was the son of the late John Colucci and Louise (Hankowski) Colucci.
A proud veteran, Robert served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1967 to 1969, including a tour in Vietnam. Following his military service, he founded Colucci Tree Service, which he owned and operated for 30 years until his retirement in 2002.
Robert had a passion for antiquing and enjoyed reading extensively about his finds. An animal lover, he had a special affection for cats. He also found joy in building projects and took pride in his craftsmanship.
He is survived by his wife, Rita, and his three sons: Robert Colucci Jr., Brett Colucci, and Brad Colucci. He is also survived by his stepchildren: Jamie Hoffman, Joseph Detweiler, and Jonathan Detweiler; 11 grandchildren; and two sisters, Catherine Schroder and Margie Trawbridge. Robert was predeceased by his brothers: John, Carl, Gene, and David.
A burial with military honors conducted by the U.S. Marine Corps will take place on Friday, January 24, 2025, at 1:30 PM at Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown, PA.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Robert's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or the Animal Rescue League.
