Ronald D. Hanks, age 65, of Fleetwood, passed on Tuesday March 12, 2013 in Reading Hospital Medical Center. Husband of Karen F. Hanks they would have been married 44 years in August.
Born in Corry, Pennsylvania the son of Cecil D. Hanks of Corry and the late Norma Jean TenHuisen Hanks.
He was a graduate of Corry High School class of 1965. Received bachelor degree in 1969 from Edinboro University and his masters degree from St. Joseph's University.
Ronald had worked for North Penn School District in Lansdale for 35 years as an elementary school teacher and retired in 2004.
Ronald coached Little League for several years and was avid lover of all sports, especially baseball. He also loved to garden, take particular care of his lawn, and do odd jobs around the house.
Survived by his wife, father and children, Todd D. Hanks of Royersford and Stacey L. Hanks of Blandon. Also one granddaughter Emma R. Hanks.
He was preceded in death by his sister Marcia L. Hanks, who passed in 1969.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30am on Saturday March 23rd and take place at the Mae A. Stump Funeral Home, Inc. 117 West Main Street, Fleetwood PA 19522.
