Ronald J. Mayer, age 66, of Fleetwood, passed away in the afternoon of September 7th in Temple University Hospital, Philadelphia. He was the husband of Ann L. (Bretz) Mayer, they celebrated 42 years of marriage on June 16 ^th .

Ronald was born in Molltown, the son of the late Paul M. Mayer and Alice (Dries) Mayer. He was a 1973 graduate of Fleetwood High School, where he was an outstanding wrestler and golfer.

Ronnie had worked at Allentown Portland Cement, Evansville, retiring in 2018. Prior he had worked at the former Dana Corporation Parish Division, Reading for 22 Years.

He loved the game of golf and won many golf tournaments.  He adored his "fur" babies. His leisure time was spent watching sports.

Ronnie was the recipient of a lung transplant on February 16, 2020 at Temple University Hospital, Philadelphia.

Surviving is his wife Ann, he was the youngest of fourteen siblings,  Gail (Mayer) Kopicz wife of Michael Davis, Cheryl (Mayer) Bretz, Bernice (Mayer) wife of Joseph Benz, Carol (Mayer) wife of Bruce Nattress, Dale Mayer husband of Bobbi Ann Mayer, David Mayer and fiancé Sheri Gring, Dennis Mayer husband of Charlene Mayer, Carl Mayer husband of Donna Mayer.

Also surviving are sister- in -laws Barbara Mayer widow of Donald Mayer, Bonnie Mayer widow of Daniel Mayer and Patricia Mayer widow of Paul Mayer, Jr.

Other survivors are many nieces and nephews.

Ronald was predeceased by brothers Donald Mayer, Robert Mayer, Daniel Mayer, George Mayer and Paul Mayer, Jr. and sister- in- laws Irene Mayer and Barbara Mayer

A viewing will be Monday September 13th from 9:30AM to 11:00AM followed by a prayer service at 11:00AM at the Mae A. Stump Funeral Home, Inc. 117 West Main Street, Fleetwood, PA. Burial will be in Becker's St. Peter's Cemetery, Molltown. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made in memory of Ronald to an animal rescue of your choice.
