Ronald M. Schaeffer, age 82, of Oley passed peacefully on August 14, 2021 at his residence. He was the husband of Jean A. (Breidegam) Schaeffer with whom he celebrated 60 years of marriage on May 20 ^th .

Ronald was born in West Reading, and was the son of the late Clarence H. Schaeffer and Alice D. (Dry) Schaeffer.

He was a 1956 graduate of Oley High School. He was the owner of the former Clarence H. Schaeffer, Inc. plumbing and heating contractor from 1997 to his retirement in 2010.

Ronald was a member of Zion Spies Lutheran Church, Huguenot Lodge #377, Kutztown, Oley Fire Company and Oley Valley Community Fair.

Surviving is his wife Jean and son Michael J. Schaeffer, husband of Karen (Babb) Schaeffer; daughter Joan M. (Schaeffer), wife of Kevin Bunn and son Edward T. Schaeffer, husband of Lisa (DeTurk)Schaeffer. Also surviving are his grandchildren Austin Schaeffer husband of Ali Schaeffer; Matthew Schaeffer, Cole Schaeffer, Amanda Bunn, Andrew Schaeffer and Dalton Bunn.

Ronald was predeceased by his granddaughter, Angela Schaeffer.

A visitation with family will be Thursday, August 19th from 10:00 AM to 11:00AM followed by funeral services at 11:00 AM at the Mae A. Stump Funeral Home, Inc., 117 West Main Street, Fleetwood. Burial will be in Frieden's Cemetery, Oley.
