Roy W. Youse, age 84, of Blandon, formerly of Muhlenberg Township, passed away on January 11, 2017 surrounded by his children in The Lutheran Home at Topton. He was the husband of the late Sandra L. (Wildoner) Youse who passed away on March 11, 1996.
Born in Bowers, he was the son of Johnathan W. Youse and Lillian V. (Eck) Youse.
Roy was a U S Army veteran of the Korean War. He had been employed by Allentown Cement in Evansville, as a welder for 28 years, retiring in October of 1994. For a few years he was the owner of a tavern, The Nineteenth Hole, in Evansville. He enjoyed 20 years of retirement in the mountains of Sullivan County. Residing in the town of Hillsgrove, where he enjoyed nature. In 2016 he returned to Blandon, where he enjoyed 11 months of living at Keystone Villa at Fleetwood.
He loved spending time with his family and tinkering in his shop.
Survived by his children: Randy Youse husband of Marian Youse of Coral Springs, FL, Michael Youse husband of Melissa Youse of Reading, Lori (Youse) wife of Steven Eberhart of Blandon and Susan (Youse) wife of Ronald Hess, Jr. of Blandon. Other survivors include grandchildren: Troy, Brian & Timothy Youse, Franki Youse, Karley (Eberhart) Thomas & Kyle Eberhart, Matthew & Sara Youse, Jacob & Rachael Hess. Also several great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Roy was predeceased by his sons Ricky Youse in 2001 and Ronnie Youse in 2015. Also siblings Viola (Youse) Bucks, Betty (Youse) Bieber, Cilfford Youse and Richard Youse.
A viewing will be Sunday afternoon 4pm to 7pm from the Mae A. Stump Funeral Home, Inc., 117 West Main Street, Fleetwood. Graveside services with military honors will be Monday at 10:00am in Hope Cemetery, Dryville, PA
