Stuart L. Mathias, age 94, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2024, at Laurel Center in Hamburg, PA. He was born on August 10, 1929, in Yellow House, Berks County, PA, to the late Daniel and Minnie B. Mathias (Reifsnyder).

Stuart proudly served in the United States Army from 1951 to 1952, dedicating himself to the service of his country. Following his military service, he embarked on a career, working for Carpenter Technology for an impressive 33 ½ years.

He is survived by his son, Stuart A. Mathias husband of Barbara Mathias (Whitney). Stuart leaves behind a legacy through his grandchildren: Kayla Johns (Mathias), Jared Mathias, and Brennan Mathias. Stuart is also survived by his youngest brother, Carl Mathias.

He was predeceased by his wife, Jane S. Mathias, who passed away on July 26, 2023. Stuart was also preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Minnie, sister Naomi, brothers John, Daniel, and Lawrence.

Parents are a gift, and I have been richly blessed....My father's advice, especially his living example, has directed me through my life in actions and words towards family, friends, and those I encounter. As I continue to live my life, may I be a reflection of the values, work ethic, and love my father lived.  Thank you, Dad.  All my love.
