Timothy D. Porr, 70, of Maidencreek Twp., died suddenly Thursday night, August 11th, at Penn State St. Joseph's Hospital.

Tim was born August 10,1952, in Bern Twp. He was the son of the late Ralph G. Porr, Jr. and Ella E. (Deeds) Porr.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Patricia A. (Giniewski) Porr, with whom he resided.

Also surviving is one son, Travis J. Porr, of Fleetwood, and four daughters, Courtney Porr and Tammie Kipp, both of Muhlenberg Twp., Christina (Porr) Kleffel, of Maidencreek Twp., and Lisa Balthaser, of Kutztown. He was predeceased by his son, Dustin A. Carr.

Tim was a loving and devoted PopPop to several grandchildren : Timothy J. Porr (his namesake), Harper Lily Karaffa, Jaeden, Gavin, and Tiersten Carr, Jordan, Drey, Tyler, and Pierson Kipp, Alyssa and Chase Balthaser, and Keenan Rightmyer. He was predeceased by his granddaughter, Carissa Balthaser. Tim also enjoyed his role of great-grandfather to Brinlee and JJ Derenzo.

Mr. Porr attended Schuylkill Valley High School and then enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving during the Vietnam Era. .After serving his country, he worked for the Carpenter Technology Corp., retiring after 30 years.

Tim is also survived by his brother, Ralph G. Porr III, of Bern Twp, and two sisters, Carol Mengel, of Cumru Twp., and Linda Hoffman, of Exeter Twp. He was predeceased by his sister (Patty), Patricia E. Porr.

Tim's ashes will receive a military interment with honors at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, at a date to be later determined.
