Vincent B. Quillman age 70, of Port Allegany, formerly of Walnuttown, passed peacefully on Friday March 11 2022 at Divine Providence Hospital, Williamsport. Born in Reading to the late Miles S. and Florence H. (Noll) Quillman.
Vince worked at Carpenter Technology for 30 years retiring in 2008. He was a firefighter for the Walnuttown Fire Co. starting as a teenager to retiring as Chief.. Upon his retirement he moved to Port Allegany. This was always a goal in his life, wanting to be surrounded by nature, hating the hustle and bustle.
He is survived by his nieces Jacquelyn J. (Barlet) wife of Michael J. Wagner, Hamburg; Holly A.(Quillman) Ambrus, Reading. Nephews Thomas L. Barlet companion of Mary A. Graff, Lyons Station and Sr. Master Sergeant Eric S. Barlet husband of Leah P. Barlet, Florida.
Also surviving is a daughter he never had Kristina Miller wife of Duane Miller, Exeter and many cousins.
Vince is predeceased by his siblings Linda L. Barlet, Shirley M. Betchel. Kim M. Quillman, Terry L. Quillman..
A viewing will be held at the Mae A. Stump Funeral Home, 117 West Main Stree,Fleetwood, on Friday March 18, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM followed by a funeral service at 12:00PM Burial will be in Hope Cemetery, Dryville.
