It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother,
grandmother, and great grandmother, Viola J. Snyder, who left us peacefully on
June 9, 2025. Born on December 23, 1934, she brought joy and love into the lives of everyone who knew her,
Viola was a vibrant soul who passionately embraced life, She cherished her time on
the golf course, enjoyed relaxing at the beach, and found solace in the pages of her
favorite books. Her beloved Abyssinian cat, Rusty, was a constant companion, providing
her with comfort and joy.
As the business manager of the family business, Snyders Sunoco, she worked alongside her husband, Curtis Snyder, in Fleetwood, PA, where their dedication
and hard work built a legacy that will be remembered by many.
Above all, Viola treasured the moments spent with family and friends. Her warmth,
laughter, and kindness created cherished memories that will forever remain in our hearts.
Survived by her daughter Brenda L. (Snyder) Russo wife of Anthony Russo; granddaughter Angela (Russo) Nolan wife of Sean Nolan; grandson Michael Russo husband of Kathleen Russo; great grandchildren Morgan Nolan, Raegan Nolan, Logan Russo and Cconnor Russo.
Viola prdeceased by her husband Curtis O. Snyder, father Daniel S. Gift, mother Florence (Hertzog) Gift brothers Earl Gift and Robert Gift.
Services for Viola will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations in her memory be made to the Northeast Abyssinian Rescue, (neabyrescue@yahoo.com) an organization that was close to her heart.
