Obituary

Virginia M. Knarr, 96, of Fleetwood, peacefully passed away on Friday June 13, 2014 in Manor Care Health Services, Laureldale. The wife of the late Charles S. Knarr who passed 27 years ago.
Born on November 17, 1917, in Reading the daughter of the late Paul D. Finkbone and Minnie (Hoffman) Finkbone.
Virginia was employed in many types of work. Her first work was that of a governess for a Reading family. Luden's Candy, Wide-Awake Shirt, Miers Cannery were a few other places. Also the Reading Rehabilitation Hospital and selling Christian books wre enjoyable to her. Her last employement was taking care of a blind friend.
Virginia was a member of Fleetwood Seventh-Daay Adventist Church, where she served as Sabbath School Secretary and Deaconess. She volunteered to solicit funds for Adventist Development and Relief Agency for many campaigns. Her love for cooking and baking made her a special Mother to her eight children and their familes. She was a blessing to her friends that visited her home. She is now resting peacefully until Jesus resurrects her and takes her home.
Virginia is survived by children Christine I. (Knarr) wife of Gary L. Bayne of Auburn, Thomas E. Knarr husband of Donna Knarr of Fleetwood, Edward S. Knarr husband of Beverly Knarr of Blandon, Kenneth M. Knarr husband of Sandy Knarr of Blandon, Daniel P. Knarr husbandof Sue Knarr of New Ringgold and Timothy J. Knarr husband of Linda Knarr of Blandon. Also 21grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Also surviving is a sister Dorothy (Hartman) Black of Mt. Penn.
Virginia was preceded in death by her daughter Sandra Lee (Knarr) Hillegass, son Ronald C. Knarr and infant son Timothy J. Knarr I.
A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. in Mae A. Stump Funeral Home, Inc., 117 West Main Street, Fleetwood. A viewing will be held from 12:00 noon to time of service. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery,Sinking Spring
