Virginia E. Warmkessel, age 87, of Wyomissing, formally of Fleetwood passed away Friday September 9, 2011 in her residence. She was the wife of the late Earl L. Warmkessel (2009) and the late Philip J. Biltheiser (1964).
She was born in Pottsville, the daughter of the late Leo S. Deegan and Bertha R. (Everly) Deegan.
She graduated from Pottsville Catholic High School in 1942.
Virginia was the secretary to the mayor of Reading, Victor Yarnell from 1969 to 1972, secretary to the legislative assistant to Governor Shapp from 1972 to 1973, and the executive secretary to the Harness Racing Commission, for the Commonwealth of PA from 1973 to her retirement in 1985.
She was a member of St. Mary's R.C. Church, Kutztown, and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of St. Mary's R.C. Church.
Survived by daughter's Jane G. Hollenbach, Wyomissing; Jean G. Biltheiser, Reading.
Also grandson Philip Biltheiser and granddaughter Jennifer Biltheiser. Three great granddaughters Leanna, Robin and Chrissy.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10:00AM in St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church Kutztown. A viewing will be from 9:00AM to 10:00AM at the church. Inurnnment will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Pottsville on Wednesday at 10:30AM.
