Vivian M. (Bingaman) Stump age 91 of Kutztown, PA passed away July 12, 2016. She was the wife of late Ernest E. Stump who passed away August 9, 1992. Born in Reading on March 5, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Harry W. and Edna Grace (Houptley) Bingaman.
Vivian was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Fleetwood.
She had been co-owner with her husband of the former Stump's Upholstery, Kutztown. Prior work places included the former Hi Duty Drill Fleetwood, Shar-Let Knit Goods Inc. and Fleetwood Sportswear. During World War II she worked at American Chain and Cable, Reading, making valves for the U.S. Navy.
Surviving is a daughter Eileen A. Schaffer and daughter-in-law Lorraine Bingaman widow of Kenneth N. Bingaman, Wyomissing and a sister-in-law, Esther, widow of Harry O. Bingaman, Niceville, Florida. Three grandchildren: Jeffrey Schaffer, David Bingaman, and Bradley Bingaman. Four great grandchildren: Jessica Schaffer, Samantha Lynch, Stephanie Bingaman, and Samuel Bingaman She was preceded in death by children: Ernest M. Stump, Infant Scott Stump, and Kenneth N. Bingaman and sisters: Oralea (Bingaman) Sweitzer, Reading and Louise Bingaman, Laureldale and Larue (Bingaman) Landis, Fleetwood. Services will be private, burial will be in Zion Spies Cemetery.
