Clark
July 24, 1934 – June 1, 2017
William (Bill) M. Clark, 82, founder of Clark's TV & Appliance of Fleetwood, passed away peacefully Thursday, June 1, 2017 in the comfort of his home. He was the loving husband of Marie (Keller) Clark. Born in Staunton, Virginia he was the son of the late George W. Clark and Mary M. (Mellott) Clark. The family moved to Fleetwood in 1941.
Bill was a graduate of the Fleetwood Area High School class of 1952. He was also a veteran of United Stated Army Reserves.
For two years after high school Bill worked for a local appliance repair dealer. Bill opened Clark's TV & Appliance, along with his wife Marie in 1954. Sixty-three years later, Clark's TV & Appliance remains a staple in the Fleetwood community.
He is survived by three daughters, Terry L., wife of Christopher D. Heffner of Fleetwood, Kimberly M., wife of Joseph G. Albert of Shavertown, and Tracy A., wife of Glen E. Esenwein of Douglassville; as well as, by six grandchildren, CJ, Jesse, Ethan, Joey, Ty and Katie.
He was predeceased by a brother, George (Bud), and has one surviving sister Dorothy Strayer
While much of Bill's life was spent at his beloved business, his outside interests included small game hunting, bay fishing, and the thrill of morel mushroom hunting.
The family would like to thank the entire staff of Heartland Hospice for the compassionate care and attention they provided Bill. Their support allowed him to stay at home close to his family, friends and pets.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at 7:00pm at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 117 East Arch Street in Fleetwood. Internment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Heartland Hospice at 2201 Ridgewood Road, Suite 180, Wyomissing, PA 19610.
