William J. Eyrich, age 86, of Fleetwood, passed away on March 2, 2015 in The Reading Hospital Medical Center. He was the husband of Virginia C. (Brown) Geisinger Lonaberger Eyrich, with whom he celebrated 13 years of marriage on May 14th. He was preceded in death by his first wife Gloria M. (Shollenberger Eyrich who passed in 1998.
Born on June 28, 1928, in Temple, the son of the late James H. Eyrich and Erma (Hicks) Eyrich.
He was a graduate of Muhlenberg High School.
Bill had worked for Reading Eagle Company for many years. He was an avid photographer who operated Laureldale Photo Service for many years. He also worked as a Multi List photographer for the past 60 years.
Bill for many years was a member of Theodore Burr Cover Bridge Society of Pa., Antique Auto Club of America, Berks County Amateur Astronomers Club and was a spelunker and member of Speleology Association.
He attended Fleetwood Bible Church.
Bill was a loving husband, devoted father and grandfather who loved spending time with his family.
Bill is survived by his wife Virginia and daughter Sylvia Eyrich of Reading and grandson Bryan Eyrich of Guam. Also step children Patti (Geisinger) Sicher of Harrisburg, Greg Geisinger of Fleetwood and Lee R. Geisinger, Jr. of Fleetwood. Step grandchildren Amanda Geisinger and Cole Geisinger. He was preceded in death by his son Glenn Eyrich in 2002.
A memorial service will be held Friday at 2:00 PM in Fleetwood Bible Church, 2847 Moselem Spring Road, Fleetwood. A visitation with family will be held1:00PM to time of service. Inurnment will be private in Pleasant View Cemetery, Sinking Spring.
