William J. Hoch, Jr., age 88, of Fleetwood. Beloved father, grandfather and friend passed on November 20, 2013 in Berks Heim. He was the husband of the late Ethel F. (Feiring) Hoch, who passed on August 21, 1992.
He was born in Kutztown on May 15, 1925 the son of the late William J. Hoch Sr. and Vallie May (Hilbert) Hoch.
Bill was a U S Navy veteran of World War II. he was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ Fleetwood. Other memberships included the Fellowship Club at Carpenter Technology, Temple Fire Company and Kutztown Fire Company.
He had been employed by Carpenter Technology, Reading for 45 years, retiring in 1990.
William was a hard worker and was devoted to his family. His favorite time was spent playing golf with family and friends.
Survived by his daughter Jeanette C. (Hoch) Rahn wife of Bradley Rahn of Shoemakersville and son Thomas L. Hoch, husband of Cathy Hoch of Fleetwood. Other survivor's are grandchildren Tami, Tom, Megan, Hali, Jackie and Tina. Also there are two great grandchildren Katelyn and Javin.
Bill was preceded in death by his son Timothy D. Hoch and two brothers and three sisters.
Funeral Services will be Sunday November 24, 2013 at 3:00 PM from St. Paul's United Church of Christ, 5 West Arch Street, Fleetwood. A viewing will be from 2:00PM to 3:00PM. Graveside services will be Monday at 1:00PM at Laureldale Cemetery. Memorial contributions can made to St. Paul's United Church of Christ
