William B. Jaeger, age 88 years, passed away peacefully November 8, 2012 at the Keystone Villa at Douglassville where he resided since February of 2011.

Born in Bethlehem, PA, William was the son of the late T. L. Jaeger, Sr. and Myrtle (Byers) Jaeger . He was predeceased by his wife of 65 years, Veronica (Schaeffer) Jaeger.

William graduated from Bethlehem Liberty High School in 1941 and Valley Forge Military College in 1943. While a student at Valley Forge, he was the recipient of a Gold Medal and Plaque for being the first PA State Wrestling Champion from Valley Forge Military College.

William graduated from the Hollywood School of Beauty Culture, Allentown, PA. He and his wife, Veronica, were the owners and operators of the Jaeger Beauty Salon in Fleetwood, PA for 63 years. The salon opened in 1947 and it was officially closed in December of 2010.

William had two children, William S. Jaeger, husband of Doris (Seoane) Jaeger, Reading, PA and Jan L. Jaeger Loose also of Reading, PA.

He had three grandchildren, Michael Jaeger, husband of Lindsey (Fisher ) Jaeger; Kristina Jaeger and Ann Jaeger. There are also 3 great grandchildren, Leah and Lauren Jaeger and Dylan Wright.

William served in WWII in the Asiatic Pacific Theatre in the Philippines Luzon Campaign, serving as a 1st Lieutenant in Ordnance.

He was a member of Hugenot Lodge #377, Kutztown, PA. ; Reading Consistory (32 Degree) Rajah Temple, Reading, PA. and East Penn Valley Twelve #663, Kutztown.

William was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Fleetwood, PA where he was a past church council member. He taught Sunday School for 12 years.

Services will be private. Burial will be at Fleetwood Cemetery, Fleetwood, PA. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 117 East Arch Street, Fleetwood 19522.
